Process

Young children should be photographed when they are at their best, usually after a nap. As a parent, grandparent and seasoned children?s photographer, I understand that babies and children sometimes need breaks for snacks, bottle feedings and other things during the shoot. I have a very patient, welcoming approach that typically makes children of all ages comfortable in my studio. Usually, I can capture the shots that illuminate the child?s personality within one hour.

Clothing suggested would be plain. There is very little ?posing.? It is not required for everyone to look at the camera. The session unfolds as a story is told through my interaction with the children. Parents must be in attendance and assist me in any way necessary to help make the children feel comfortable and secure. If the child has a special toy or any music that enhances interaction, please be sure to bring them along with additional changes of clothing, if desired.

Pricing

My fee includes setup and the photo session. I will take approximately 100 photos. In about one week, you will receive color contact sheets. After you review the contact sheets, we will meet and I will show you the photos on a 19 inch monitor so that you will see them as close to what they will look like as enlargements. I will make suggestions as to cropping, the best size for the print, and other artistic ideas. You may choose to have prints in color or black and white.

Studio session and contact sheets: $150.00

Location shoot and contact sheets: $225.00

Extra charge for more than 5 people in shoot: $50.00

Watch Me Grow Baby Package
$350.00

This package lets you chronicle those precious first 12 months at three month intervals. Every three months you will have a photo shoot of your baby with no sitting fee charge. Pay $200.00 at the first sitting and I will take baby?s photo every three months through the changes of your baby?s life (4 shoots in total). Watch me Grow comes with three 8x10s and three 5x7s with each photo shoot, with your choice of color and/or black and white. Additional prints are extra.

Baby On The Way Package
$350.00

Capture the glow of a mom-to-be and all the joy around your pregnancy and newborn. This package includes photos at your baby shower, photos of your pregnant belly if desired, photos of the baby at the hospital and photos of the baby at home in the nursery. Price includes 50 4x6 color and/or black and white prints for each session.
